St. Georges Independent School seeks a passionate, entrepreneurial, and hard-working individual who is energized by work with families to serve as Director of Memphis Campus Programs, beginning July 2019. Type: Salary, 12-month position

Duration: Annual Letter of Agreement

Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree required; a minimum of seven years of teaching in an educational setting is required

The successful candidate, reporting to the Memphis Campus Director, will possess skills and experience that would include the ability to:

  • partner in the execution of our unique mission through hands-on management
  • assist in implementing data-informed instructional strategies which include support for the needs of diverse learners, delivery methods, assessment, and staff development techniques for improvement of instruction
  • develop a social-emotional health (SEH)/social-emotional learning (SEL) program
  • direct an associate teacher program in collaboration with our leadership team and provide individual mentoring to develop their ability to deliver high quality curriculum in a top tier independent school
  • partner in providing community engagement, family support, and parent education in grades PK-5
  • realize the vision for an Extended Day and Summer Program that builds our literacy and numeracy outcomes and provides an engaging and enriched experience for students.

Physical Requirements: Regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear, and interact with campus visitors as well as others who telephone. Must have the ability to understand and present materials and communicate with constituents and co-workers in a harmonious manner.
