Trinity Episcopal School seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as the Student Life Coordinator.

Trinity Episcopal School is an inclusive, forward-thinking, faith-based K-8 independent school that meets each student where they are to nurture the whole child’s academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. Trinity is located in West Lake Hills, close to downtown Austin, Texas.

Overview of position:  The Student Life Coordinator facilitates programming to help students feel connected to the community, school, and each other.  We have high expectations for our students and are looking for individuals to join our team who have: a strong, comprehensive knowledge base in education, elementary level instruction, and childhood development; a desire to ensure students are engaged and learning at high levels; initiative, enthusiasm, and creative ideas for building teams and community; and a love for children in all of their developmental stages. 

Responsibilities include

  • Developing programs and building relationships with students, faculty, and staff in order to promote the culture and spirit of Trinity.
  • Leadership of the K8 Buddy Program including event planning, organization, and communication with teachers and parents.
  • Collaboration with the LS Head and the LS Dean to plan Community Time for Chapel each week.
  • Organizing and leading the after school, on campus service club Community Kids.
  • Planning and leading special student programs such as Capture the Campus, Jumpstart Jr., Connections Days, and Spirit Nights.
  • Planning and implementation of curriculum, as part of a 10-member teaching team, for 4th grade Inquiry Seminar class.
  • Providing instruction during the Extensions block in grades 1, 2, and 3.
  • Co-Leading the PSIA competition including student selection and training, parent volunteer coordination and training, management of competitions, and relevant follow-up.

Qualifications:  Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school, superior teaching skills, excellent character, and a proven legacy of outstanding classroom performance.  Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication skills are expected.  Ability to be an innovative, collaborative, and positive member of the faculty is required.
