St. Michael’s School, an Episcopal K-8 parish day school in central Tucson serving families of all faiths, is currently accepting applications for both our lower school (grades K-4) and upper school (grades 5-8) for the coming 2019-2020 academic year, as follows

  • Kindergarten teacher
  • Second-grade teacher
  • K-4 technology teacher
  • 5-8 science and math teacher
  • 6-8 English teacher

Candidates for any of the above positions will join an exceptional and talented faculty and will work with bright and motivated students.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university and at least two years of classroom teaching experience. A teaching certificate for respective content-area instruction, or an advanced degree for the same, is a plus.

We seek candidates who demonstrate creativity, a passion for teaching and learning, and exceptional relationship-building skills. Collaboration with other teachers and proven ability to maintain a structured, engaging learning environment that is student-centered are important qualities for a St. Michael’s teacher. In addition, any candidate should have strong skills in the integration of technology in the curriculum.

All faculty at St. Michael’s participate in after-school meetings and ad hoc committees as well as occasional after-school conferences with parents. Candidates for our upper school teaching positions (grades 6-8) are expected to serve as lead advisors in a robust advisory program for our upper-school students.
