Upper Division Biology Teacher:

Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking to fill a vacancy in the Upper Division Science Department for the 2019-2020 school year. The successful candidate will have a broad background in the biological sciences, high school teaching experience, and a desire to work with students across grades 9-12. A background and interest in environmental science will be a plus. Sponsorship of and participation in extra-curricular science-themed clubs is expected.

Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly, grow professionally, significantly contribute to the life of the school, and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.  

Berkeley Preparatory School is proud to call the Gries Center for Arts and Sciences home for all Upper Division science classes. This state-of-the-art facility features nine fully-equipped laboratory classrooms including two dedicated chemistry labs, a microbiology suite, a robotics laboratory, two separate long term project areas, three prep rooms, and a 3,000 square foot design technology space.   

Compensation and Benefits:

The appointment is a full-time position with full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, degree attainment and the national independent school and college markets.
