Upper School Counselor (Part-Time)

The candidate should hold a master’s degree in counseling from an accredited college or university and should enjoy working with high school students. Experience working in independent schools is preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of technology issues related to teenagers are qualities sought in the candidate. Candidates must have some scheduling flexibility to meet with students at different times during the week.

The candidate will be responsible for assisting students in the areas of academic, career and citizenship development as well as emotional and social development. They will perform a variety of duties including:

  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary guidance team to address students of concern
  • Organizing and facilitating small group discussions for students
  • Working with the Dean of Students on student programming, alcohol and drug prevention, and new student orientation

Head of Middle School

The Bishop’s School seeks an experienced middle school educator to lead a 250-student (grades 6-8) middle school program. Candidates should have an advanced degree and successful teaching and administrative experience at the middle school level.
