Educating Your Board About the Episcopal Identity of Your School

Thursday, March 24, 2011 (1am - 1am US/Eastern)

2:00-3:15 p.m. (EDT)
Webinar

One of the school board's key responsibilities is to steward actively the school's Episcopal identity. What do boards need to know about the school's relationship with the Episcopal Church and, in particular, with any sponsoring organization such as a parish or diocese? How can the board remain educated about the school's Episcopal identity? What is the ambassadorial role of trustees in articulating the school's Episcopal identity? How can and should Episcopal identity inform board conversations and decision-making?

Join Tad Bird, head of school at All Saints' Episcopal School of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, Texas; and Ann Mellow, associate director of NAES and former head of school at St. Luke's School in New York, New York to learn more about best practices and concrete strategies.
