Dinner on Friday, February 7, 2014. Attendees should plan to explore the restaurants of New Orleans' French Quarter on this night; it's right outside the hotel's front door. Who Should Attend:

This conference is designed for school chaplains.

Tips for Making the Case for Attending:
Many travel and training budgets have been cut. This means that regardless of the merits of a conference, you may need to justify the expense when in previous years you may not have had to do so. So here are some things you might want to consider:

  • Communicate to your head of school what topics will be discussed and how they will advance your professional/personal goals.
  • Offer to prepare and deliver a short presentation and Q&A session with your colleagues to share what you learned.
  • Share the syllabus and speaker handouts with your colleagues.
  • Be ready with a plan that shows who will cover for you while you are attending ChapToR.
We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans.

Meeting Attire:

Suggested attire is business casual suitable for early-February weather in Louisiana.
