2019 Chaplains Mentoring Program Gathering

All mentors and mentees will come together for worship, fellowship, learning, and connection. Participation in this program is required and will include the following:

  • One-on-one time for mentors and mentees to learn about one another and set goals
  • The chaplain's role in school ministry, such as teaching, chapel and worship, and pastoral care
  • Reflection on personal gifts and potential areas for new learning as new school chaplains
  • Self-care, identity, and regular spiritual practice as school chaplains
In order to maximize the benefits of the program, all participants are expected to attend for the entirety of the conference.

Registration Deadline and Hotel Arrangements:
While there is no fee for this meeting, you must log in and register no later than October 4, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. (EDT). In addition, please make your hotel reservations by Friday, October 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. (EDT) online at http://bit.ly/ChapMentNAES. Alternatively, you may call the JW Marriott Houston at the Galleria at 713-961-1500 and mention the "National Association of Episcopal Schools" for the $139 rate.

Registration Includes:

There is no registration fee. Registration includes all meeting materials, dinner on Friday, October 25 and lunch on Saturday, October 26. Breakfast is on your own.

Participants are responsible for travel costs to and from Houston, and for accommodations at the JW Marriott Houston by the Galleria. The room rate is $139 plus tax, per night.

Who Should Attend:

All participants in the 2019-2020 NAES Mentoring Program for New Chaplains should attend this meeting.

Meeting Attire:

Business casual.

Cancellation and Other Policies:

Written cancellations received by fax, (212) 286-9366, or by email, hez@episcopalschools.org, no later than 12:00 p.m. (EDT), Friday, October 18, 2019.

All registrations are subject to acceptance. Registrations are NOT transferable and cannot be split among conference attendees.

Any and all liability of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) with respect to registration, reservations, cancellations, changes in the location or content of the program, and refunds is limited to a sum no greater than the registration fee paid. Under no circumstances shall NAES be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind, including, but not limited to, the cost of transportation or lodging. Submission of registration and payment constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions herein.
