St. Martin’s Episcopal School is seeking an organized, energetic and personable Assistant Admissions Coordinator for George Cottage, Pre-K and K that reports to the Director of Enrolment Management.  Although supervision and guidance are furnished by the Director of Enrollment Management, independent judgment is expected in the performance of job duties.  This individual will be responsible for a full range of duties to assure smooth functioning of the admission office.  Successful execution of this role requires a commitment to task and the ability to perform routine operations in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures set forth by the School and the Enrollment Management Director.  The Assistant Admissions Coordinator is expected to maintain successful interaction with various segments of the school community and office staff in a courteous, cooperative, and informative manner.  Confidentiality is essential.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

*Applicant Testing

*Application Processing

*Family Interviews

*School Tours

*Coordinate Open Houses

*Coordinate Class Visits and group Activity Visits

*Recruit and supervise volunteers and student “Ambassadors” for Special Events

*Assist Director as needed with various tasks and projects to include mailings, correspondence, Special Events, etc.

*Serve as a member of the Financial Aid Committee as needed.

*Effectively use technological resources as demonstrated through routine application of both base level technical skills and job specific technical competencies. The Appendix contains a detailed list.

*Adhere to all established business procedures as outlined in the Expense Guidelines as published.

Qualifications and Skills:

*Bachelor’s degree preferred, although significant work experience can be substituted for the degree.

*Three-five years of office experience, preferably in an educational or service environment.

*Software proficiency in Microsoft Word; knowledge and experience with social media platforms, Google Docs and FACTS

*Good organizational and interpersonal skills essential

*Must be flexible and have ability to work independently with numerous interruptions and shifting priorities.

*Confidentiality essential.

*Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication, with marketing and communications skills for completion of various written paperwork including, but not limited to: filing, record keeping, categorizing, drafting of correspondence, reports, etc.

*Ability to greet in the office setting and receive telephone calls from the school constituents, respond appropriately, and communicate in oral fashion on the telephone.

*Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately with minimal direct supervision within one month of employment.

*Ability to move about campus to give tours.
