Description: All Angels Episcopal School and St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church are searching for a collaborative and transformational leader to lead our school into the next phase of service to the community. For 35 years, All Angels has been known as a leading early childhood center in Albuquerque. As our state makes additional investments in this area, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment. We are looking for a director who shares and can articulate our values, centering the needs and development of each child, keeping classes small, emphasizing growth for teachers. We are looking for a director who would embrace working in a faith-centered space with deep commitments to diversity and equity for all people. Our school is licensed to care for 55 children from 2 years old to 5 years old.

Hours: 40 hours per week (some evening and weekend work may be required from time to time)

Reports to: Rector of St. Michael’s and All Angels (SMAA) Episcopal Church

Salary: Salary listed below is the base compensation. Salary is commensurate with experience.

General Statement of the Position: The Director will oversee and administer the daily

operation of All Angels Episcopal Day School (AAEDS). S/He is responsible for:

· implementing the vision, mission, and goals of the school with pride,

· serving as the professional and educational leader of the school,

· planning early learning and enrichment activities for the children,

· meeting Early Childhood Education and Care Department licensing requirements,

· maintaining the FOCUS 5-Star license designation,

· ensuring that all policies and procedures established by the Church are followed.

· adhering to all requirements of the Early PreK and PreK grants,

· communicating with the school families, the AAEDS School Board, church staff and

· parishioners, and

· engaging in the wider community to recruit new children for the program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· A love for children and a passion for teaching.

· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with significant progress being made to attain a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Masters Degree preferred.

· At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative leadership position.

· At least 2 years’ experience in a preschool or childcare setting, preferably in a FOCUS program and/or a program participating in Early PreK or PreK, or Head Start or Early Head Start

· Strong organizational skills, staff management and financial management experience

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Membership in the National Association for the Education of Young Children

· Current CPR and First Aid Certificate

· Must pass the background check in accordance with the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande employment policies and the State Licensing Authority

Benefits:

Starting Salary: $52,000
