St. John’s Parish Day School (SJPDS) has been educating children ages 3 through Grade 5 in the Episcopal tradition since 1965. We are growing confident, compassionate, bright young women and men who understand the importance of living a purpose-driven life. We are seeking professionals to continue that tradition and be mission-driven as we educate the whole child.

SJPDS is seeking Early Childhood Assistant Teachers to work with our 3-5-year-old students. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about creating a learning environment that celebrates childhood.

Job Responsibilities:

– Assist the lead Teacher in preparing materials to execute the age-appropriate lessons that meet the educational standards of the school curriculum.

-Provide support to children to assist them to meet educational milestones by meeting each child’s individual needs.

-Support the lead Teacher in managing a busy classroom by providing structure and discipline required for success for all students.

-Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a well-rounded learning environment.

-Assist the lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, safe environment for children to grow emotionally.

Requirements:

The requirements for a St. John’s assistant teaching staff are the following:

– High School diploma

– 3 years of experience working in Early Childhood
