Ascension Episcopal School seeks a Head of Preschool (PK3-K)  beginning July 1, 2024,  at the Preschool Campus, located in the River Ranch neighborhood in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Ascension Episcopal School’s Preschool Campus, also known as “The Little Red School,” is renowned for the warmth of its community and the care provided to its students and families. The successful candidate will be committed to the mission of Ascension Episcopal School and will work with a talented team of educators to move the school forward to even greater heights.


  • Master’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood or a related field
  • Significant experience in an early childhood classroom
  • Successful experience in school leadership
  • Expertise in the developmental and academic needs of PK3 through K students
  • Consistent history of personal and professional growth and nurturing growth in others
  • Familiarity with Conscious Discipline a plus


The Campus Head is responsible for the accomplishment of the school’s mission through all day-to-day operations of the Preschool Campus (River Ranch). The Campus Head reports directly to the Head of School and works cooperatively with the Campus Heads of Lower & Middle School (Downtown) and Upper School (Sugar Mill Pond), as well as with the Chief Advancement Officer and the Chief Operating Officer.
