St. Martin’s Episcopal School is looking for experienced Infant Teachers to work in our Early Learning division. We seek candidates who support our mission and are culturally competent and responsive. This position will be assigned to either our Ashford Dunwoody or High Point campus, depending on need.

Summary

Infant Teachers operate the classroom in compliance with all Georgia child care licensing standards. S/He ensures that child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with good child development principles. This includes routines related to diapering, hand washing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities and co-curricular classes. The position also ensures that parents receive adequate information about their child’s experiences at the school through daily contacts and regularly scheduled parent conferences. The Teacher provides daily care individually to each infant, including but not limited to diapering every 2 hours and feeding on demand. The Teacher also observes children to detect signs of illness, injury, emotional distress, or other special needs and report these signs immediately to the Early Learning Center Director.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience working with infants (ages 8 weeks – 24 months). A Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred but not required.

The candidate could also be a high school graduate, at least 19 years of age, working towards a degree in early education, or holds the CDA credential for Infants, and has two years of experience in an early childhood program. CPR and First Aid training is a plus.  Other trainings and background checks will be required upon hire.
