National Cathedral School seeks a Chaplain who will be grounded in Episcopal traditions while supporting the spiritual life of the school community. This full-time one-year position includes responsibilities for teaching, worship, pastoral care, and academic advising, in collaboration with two other chaplains. We celebrate the diversity of religious expression and values in our community while rooting our chaplaincy in Episcopal tenets and the rhythm of the Church year. We seek to nurture conversations that connect our values with everyday life; we value the practice of prayer to gather people in worship; and we seek to integrate intellectual growth with a generous, compassionate, and joyful spirit.
