St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Houston, Texas is seeking a creative, organized, team player to serve as Kindergarten Teaching Assistant.

The primary job of a kindergarten teaching assistant at St. Mark’s is to work with the lead teacher to guide young students as they work and play in our centers-based classrooms while playing outdoors and during snack and lunchtimes. Other responsibilities may include: completing tasks assigned by the lead teacher to maintain the classroom environment and prepare student materials; attending faculty meetings and professional growth opportunities before the school year begins and after school during the school year; and other requests made by the Head of Primary School, the lead teacher, or the Headmaster. As a member of the Primary School faculty, the assistant is expected to support the mission and philosophy of the school. Experience guiding children between the ages of two and six in a school setting along with a CDA or an education degree is preferred. Position hours are from 7:30 AM – 3:45 PM.
