St. John’s Episcopal School is seeking a dedicated and flexible Long-Term Substitute Music Teacher to maintain instructional continuity and a vibrant music program during a teacher’s extended absence. school community may be considered for future music education opportunities as they arise. As a member of the Enrichment Team, this position plays a critical role in cultivating a supportive learning environment across a variety of grade levels, from early childhood through middle school.
The substitute will implement prepared lesson plans and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction while maintaining the classroom culture and routines already established. Instruction
will incorporate elements of solfeggio, Orff Schulwerk, and Dalcroze Eurhythmics, as well as hands-on experience with instruments such as drums, recorders, and xylophones. Vocal development, aural skills, improvisation, and composition will also be central to the curriculum.
This position requires strong classroom management skills, effective communication, and a commitment to upholding the values and culture of St. John’s Episcopal School.

Compensation: Daily Rate: $200.00
