About the position
Grace seeks a confident and creative math teacher who loves teaching middle school students to fill a family leave position from January 3 through the end of the school year. The ideal candidate takes professional growth seriously; values conceptual understanding and not just procedural fluency; communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues; brings tools and strategies for differentiating instruction within the context of heterogeneous groups; and will work collaboratively to develop curriculum.
- Teaching load would include sections of sixth and eighth grade math.
- Other responsibilities may include lunch duty, study hall, tutorials, and other supervisory duties.
- Familiarity with the Open Up Resources: Illustrative Math Program is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree and teaching experience are required. A master’s degree is preferred.
