Part-Time School Bus Driver

St. Martin’s Episcopal School seeks a professional and dependable part-time School Bus Driver available for morning and/or afternoon shifts. The School Bus Driver will primarily be responsible for operating the school bus transporting students to and from school and school-related activities. Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• An insurable driving record with at least 1 year of commercial driving experience (Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required; with school bus endorsements preferred).
• Exercise cognitive skills necessary to perform job duties
• Exercise proficient oral and written communication skills
• Work with youth and adults in the school community professionally at all times

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the driver is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The driver is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and is regularly required to drive, see, talk, walk, and hear.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.  The driver is often required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The driver must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
