Episcopal School of Jacksonville’s approach to our balanced education (academics, fine arts, athletics, and spiritual development) is sustained by heightened expectations in all aspects of campus life. Grades 6-12 are housed on the Munnerlyn Campus, which is situated on 84 acres along the southern bank of the St. Johns River. Episcopal School of Jacksonville is seeking a full-time Upper School Chemistry instructor in the Science Department beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. A candidate with experience or interest in teaching AP Chemistry is preferred. Additional consideration will be given to those candidates who have experience or training in teaching students in grades 9-12 and who employ student-centered learning through lab experimentation. Due to the collegial nature of our faculty, a willing investment in collaborative efforts, professional growth, and the broader life of the school are all expectations of work at Episcopal. Contribution to the larger school community, through such means as academic advising and coaching or sponsoring of extracurricular programs, is expected of all community members.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study from a four-year college or university, or post-graduate work in subject matter; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Three years of teaching experience in an independent school setting is preferred for any teaching position. However, consideration will be afforded to any qualified individual who has either worked in other educational settings or is new to the teaching profession, and who has a strong sense of vocation to work with students in an independent, college-preparatory environment.

- …a working familiarity with the content and skills central to the teaching of Chemistry, including experience in lab safety procedures, and maintaining and supervising the use of laboratory equipment and chemical substances with care.
