Prayers for Ericka Brannock and Family

Please join NAES and the entire community of Episcopal schools in praying for the recovery of Ericka Brannock, her sister, and brother-in-law, who were injured in the April 15, 2013 bombings at the Boston Marathon. Ms. Brannock is a teacher at Trinity Episcopal Children’s Center (TECC) in Towson, Maryland, a NAES member school.

Ms. Brannock and her family were at the Boston Marathon to cheer on Ms. Brannock’s mother, who was running the race.

Writing on the TECC website, the Rev. Kenneth H. Saunders III, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church said that

Out of respect for the family and their privacy, we cannot share the extent of Erika’s injuries. We do understand that she is stable, but not able to be contacted at this time. Our community will pass along appropriate updates as they are shared with us. Please pray for Erika and her family.

He went on to share the following prayer:

Most merciful God; you are the great restorer and healer. Bestow your healing grace and favor on Erika, her family, and all those affected by the senseless tragedy in Boston. Surround them with your love and presence at this time. Strengthen and guide those responding to the injured. Keep us all safe. Help us who struggle in the midst of these horrible acts of violence to continue to keep a calm and prayerful heart and acknowledge that you are our focus. We pray also that you receive into the arms of your mercy those who have lost their lives. It is through Jesus, your Son, Our Savior, we pray, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. Amen.

Please keep Ms. Brannock, her family, and all at Trinity Episcopal Children’s Center and Trinity Episcopal Church in your prayers.
