Early Childhood Program Leadership Day

Tuesday, February 25, 2014 (8:30am - 3pm US/Eastern)

St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Day School
188 S. Swinton Avenue [map]
Delray Beach, FL 33444

Early Childhood Education programs sponsored by Episcopal parishes stand as vibrant expressions of the Episcopal Church's historic commitment to quality education for young children. How do preschool programs live out core values of the Church in a multi-faith, school context? How can parishes and their preschools understand and work more effectively with one another? What are the key components of a preschool's financial strength and sustainability?

Join NAES staff and other parish and ECE program leaders to explore these questions while extending the circle of colleagues and friends on which you can rely, both personally and professionally. You will leave the day ready for the joys and challenges unique to Episcopal ECE programs.

Tips for Making the Case for Attending:
Many travel and training budgets have been cut. This means that regardless of the merits of a conference, you may need to justify the expense when in previous years you may not have had to do so. So here are some tips for making the case to attend.

  • Communicate what topics will be covered and what you will specifically bring back as the return for the investment.
  • Offer to prepare and deliver a short presentation and Q&A session with your colleagues to share what you learned.
  • Share the syllabus and handouts with your colleagues.
  • Be ready with a plan that outlines the full costs of attending and shows who will cover for you while you are away.
We look forward to seeing you in Delray Beach!
