The Spiritual Life of the Chaplain

Renewal. Reflection. Worship. Conversation. Collegial Sharing. Learning. Episcopal school chaplains will gather in retreat to explore the spiritual life of a chaplain and to build a community of friends and colleagues from which to draw strength and sustenance.

Some of the themes the group will examine include:

  • How do we nurture ourselves spiritually in our work as Episcopal school chaplains?
  • What are the spiritual gifts of a school community and how can they feed us in our varied roles as chaplain?
  • How can we deepen the experience of chapel, for ourselves and the entire school community?
  • How do we minister with integrity to a multi faith school community?
  • How do we balance and integrate both the practical demands and the spiritual practice of teaching?
