Nurturing Mental Well-Being in Episcopal School Communities

Wednesday, January 14, 2026 (2pm - 3pm US/Eastern)

Zoom Meeting

The registration period for this meeting has ended.

In Episcopal schools, we all share responsibility for the spiritual care and emotional well-being of our students. This workshop will equip school leaders, educators, and staff with practical tools to recognize signs of student distress, support resilience, and foster a culture of belonging. Together, we will explore how emotional, physical, academic, and social indicators can signal deeper challenges and how to respond with compassion and effectiveness.

Participants will gain strategies for helping students build healthy routines and learn coping skills such as mindfulness and reflection. We’ll also discuss how to reduce stigma around mental health through open dialogue and how chaplains can lead in creating school cultures where all students feel seen, heard, and valued. Rooted in the Episcopal tradition of holistic care, this session invites us to deepen our pastoral presence and strengthen the systems of support within our schools.
