AI in Service of Powerful Learning Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (2pm - 3pm US/Eastern) Zoom Meeting

Artificial intelligence has disrupted education, but technology alone does not improve learning. The schools making the greatest progress are first defining what powerful learning looks like and then asking how AI can help bring that vision to life. Drawing on lessons from schools in the Responsible AI in Learning (RAIL) community, come explore how schools are designing more powerful learning experiences and using action research to determine what actually improves student outcomes. Attendees will leave with practical frameworks, real school examples, and implementation strategies to lead AI in ways that are human-led, AI-informed, and aligned with their mission.

About the Presenter

Amber Berry is the inaugural Vice President of AI & Strategy at Middle States Association (MSA) and co-founder of Responsible AI in Learning (RAIL), an implementation framework that helps schools lead AI responsibly while advancing powerful learning. Through RAIL, Amber and her team support more than 100 schools across 30 countries on six continents as they build AI literacy, strengthen governance, and redesign learning for the age of AI.

Before joining Middle States, Amber spent 15 years in public and independent schools as a French teacher, department chair, director of teaching fellows, and middle school principal. She serves on the board of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS) and is an EdSAFE Women in AI Fellow alumna. Amber holds a B.A. from Princeton University, an M.A. from Middlebury College, an M.Ed. in Private School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Mini-MBA in AI for Business from Section School. On weekends, Amber embraces her role as an NFL wife, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles alongside her two sons.
