Job Summary:
The St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School Buildings and Grounds Department is seeking a dedicated and proactive Campus Supervisor to lead the Buildings and Grounds team at one of our three campus locations (Lower School, Middle School, or Upper School) in Alexandria, Virginia. Reporting directly to the Director of Buildings and Grounds, the Campus Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring the overall maintenance and repair operations are executed efficiently and effectively, ensuring that our school’s facilities are safe and functional at all times.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversees the routine maintenance operations of the assigned campus, including but not limited to maintenance and repairs of electrical; plumbing; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); carpentry; painting; fire-life safety and other building systems.
Leads and manages campus staff team members, ensuring appropriate organization, scheduling (including timecard management), delegation of work, supervisory controls, and performance management.
Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
Proactively evaluates facilities and grounds to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
Manages and reviews campus online work order management system (FMX) for preventative maintenance, daily maintenance and event requests.
Collaborates with the landscape contractor on landscaping maintenance and installations, and manages the lawn care program across campus.
Coordinates and schedules work with outside contractors and inspectors when necessary.
Implements event set up and breakdowns in collaboration with school departments, APT and other stakeholders.
Orders and maintains inventory of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at varying levels.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Knowledge of lawn care maintenance.
Proficient with computers and relevant software applications needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory.
Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least five years of maintenance experience required.
Drivers license.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk extensive campus properties for prolonged periods of time when necessary.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crouch / crawl into spaces when necessary.
Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
