Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced math teacher to teach middle school mathematics (Grades 6–8) in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment where students are challenged to think critically and solve problems creatively. This position requires a dynamic educator who is enthusiastic about math education and excited to contribute to a supportive and collaborative school culture. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, plan, and teach math lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum for Grades 6–8 • Deliver differentiated instruction to support a wide range of learners • Use assessment data to inform instruction and track student progress • Foster a classroom culture that encourages risk-taking, collaboration, and growth • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents/guardians about student progress • Participate in school-wide events, faculty meetings, and professional development • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the math program and cross-curricular learning Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field • Teaching certification preferred • Prior experience teaching middle school math, preferably in an independent school setting • Deep knowledge of math content and current best practices in math instruction • Excellent classroom management and communication skills • Commitment to cultivating an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, and reaching. Candidates must be able to actively participate in all activities related to the role. Compensation: The starting salary for this part-time position is prorated based on a full-time base of $50,000 and will be adjusted depending on the final schedule and candidate experience.
