JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the administration of billing, accounting and record keeping for gifts and contributions, including pledges and gifts of stock, accounts receivable, collections and application of cash receipts for all Beauvoir programs. In addition, this position is responsible for the accuracy, reconciliation, and reporting for all associated ledger accounts.
Salary Range: of $75,000 – $90,000 depending on education and experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
Monthly Close
- Assists the Controller in preparing and analyzing data and variance reports, Fixed Assets, annual audit and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Support Staff Accountant with Accounts Payable and Procurement processes.
Recurring Journals
- Prepare monthly accrual entries for accounts receivables, deferred revenue, and the corresponding recognition of revenue for all processes. Verify the accuracy of recurring journal entries.
- Post all approved journal entries to the GL.
- Scan all posted journal entries to the Foundation shared drive.
Cash
- Prepare checks for remote desktop deposit.
- Reconcile monthly cash receipts, including in-transit items to bank records and credit card transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation, posting cash receipts to GL and clearing reconciling items.
Gifts and contributions
- Check the bank daily and communicate with Advancement in regards of any gifts or contributions received.
- Provide GL accounts to all PECF contributions receivable and communicate to Advancement.
- Reconcile and post contributions to GL at the end of the month.
Student Tuition & Auxiliary Programs
- Coordinate the allocation of Student Tuition Financial Aid with members of Admissions and other Financial Administration Staff.
- Maintain and update the Student Tuition Information in TADS and CampBrain, including payment plans, incidental charges such as tuition insurance, billings (and refunds when applicable) for auxiliary registrations, tutoring and other similar charges.
- Identify and follow up with collection of delinquent students billing accounts, escalating to the CFOO as appropriate.
- Reconcile the TADS system, Aftercare and Enrichment receivables to the GL.
Enrollment
- Set up and update enrollment in TADS, updating tuition and fee amounts as needed. Adjusting FA and employee account charges.
- Work with Admissions, ELC Director and CFOO deadlines to send out re-enrollment invitations including gathering required documents (updated student contract), welcome letter from HOS and Board President, custody agreement, insurance brochures, etc. Send out new sibling/employee enrollments and all new student enrollments
- Maintain and follow up with pending enrollments and update Admissions and ELC Director.
PA Events
- Assist Staff Accountant with providing administrative support for PA activities, including Book Fair and Scholarship Benefit.
- Processing credit cards, deposit checks, and reconcile auction cash receipts and related credit card receipts to Stripe, Square, OneCause and other systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience.
