FES-EO Compliance Specialist

St. Mark’s Episcopal School is conducting a search for a Florida Empowerment Scholarship –
Educational Options (FES-EO) Compliance Specialist.

Position Summary:
The FES-EO Compliance Specialist is responsible to maintain all aspects of compliance for the
Florida Empowerment Scholarship – Educational Options.

Reports to:
The Head of School and CFO
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following list is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities regarding scholarship
compliance.
● Monitor the implementation of scholarship applications and contracts
● Ensure accurate completion the annual FES-EO renewal process with the Florida
Department of Education (DOE) and Step Up For Students scholarship funding
organization (SFO)
● Monitor and ensure complete, accurate, and timely completion of reporting and
compliance requirements of FES-EO
● Remain informed of current developments or changes to FES-EO requirements
● Communicate with parents/guardians to acquire and maintain accurate scholarship
award information and answer questions relating to scholarship records
● Communicate with Step Up For Students to accurately document and maintain student
award information
● Monitor and approve payment verification from Step Up For Students
● Confirm and accurately reconcile student payment by award number to student name
● Enter payment information into school financial system (FACTS)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Knowledge of procedures, and/or laws as pertains to the FES-EO program
● Bookkeeping skills commensurate with the position
● Ability to work collaboratively with others
● Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within
established timeframes

Education, Training and Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
