David Charlton and Lucy Nazro to Retire from NAES Governing Board at End of June

New York, NY—David H. Charlton, Ed.D., and Lucy C. Nazro, two longtime members of the National Association of Episcopal Schools’ Governing Board, will retire from the board when their current terms end June 30, 2010. Please join NAES Governing Board and staff members in thanking them for their dedicated and exemplary service to the Association and Episcopal schools and education.

Dr. Charlton is president of the Church Schools in the Diocese of Virginia and was first elected to the Governing Board in 2000. During his tenure, he served as secretary (2002-2003), vice president (2003-2005), and president (2005-2008).

Mrs. Nazro is head of school at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas, and has served twice as a member of the Governing Board, most recently from 2000 to 2010. A past president, she has served during her current membership on the board as its secretary (2003-2005) and vice president (2005-2010). She is the 1998 recipient of the Association’s Ruth Jenkins Award for outstanding service to NAES and Episcopal schools.
