Free Advertising Opportunities for Jobs, Events on Episcopal Church Websites

Episcopal Church Shield

[Episcopal Digital Media] Responding to congregations, Episcopal schools, and other ministries of the Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Digital Network has set aside a portion of its classified ad inventory to give away for free or at steep discounts.

The network, launched in December and operated by the Episcopal Church, includes popular sites like Episcopal News Service and Sermons That Work.

“We quickly realized that paying $800 to $1,000 per month to reach a church-wide audience through banner advertising was too much to pay for many groups,” said the Rev. Jake Dell, manager of digital marketing and advertising for the Episcopal Church, “so we decided to create a free job board to announce clergy and lay positions as well as a free event board.”

The boards are self-service, but each post is reviewed before being posted. New posts are also tweeted at @EDigiNet.

Paid promotions are also offered in the “Featured Jobs” and “Featured Events” sections that run on every page on the network. The cost is $159 for four weeks.

The Episcopal Digital Network is an ad-supported media network and has a current reach of 125,000 monthly online page views, 33,147 unique monthly online visitors and 11,000 opt-in e-newsletter subscribers.
