[St. George’s School] St. George’s School, Middletown, Rhode Island will be the site a chaplain’s retreat this June 20–22 organized by the Rev. Ned Mulligan, chaplain at St. George’s School, and the Rev. George E. Andrews II.
Entitled “The Parables of Jesus and the Call to Serve Episcopal Schools,” the retreat will include daily worship, presentations followed by discussion groups, time for fellowship, and free time for rest, relaxation, reflection, and re-creation. The program is designed for Episcopal school chaplains and those interested in serving as an Episcopal school chaplain.
Keynote speakers include the Rev. Daniel R. Heischman, executive director of the National Association of Episcopal Schools, and the Rev. Maryetta M. Anschutz, founding head of school of the Episcopal School of Los Angeles.
The program begins with registration at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 20, and concludes after lunch on Friday, June 22.
According Mr. Andrews, the retreat is “an opportunity to gather in fellowship to share thoughts, ideas and resources in order to deepen one’s understanding and appreciation of the call to serve as chaplain in an Episcopal school.”
Costs
- $330.00 per person if you stay on campus in a single dormitory room (only single rooms available). The cost includes all meals (6), lodging and Retreat materials.
- $300.00 per person if you choose to stay in a local motel (a list of motels available upon request).
- $200.00 per person for a person attending seminary.
